ElevenLabs MCP is bringing ElevenLabs closer to the AI assistants people already use. With its new hosted MCP server, ElevenLabs can connect to supported AI assistants without requiring users to run a local MCP server themselves.
At the time of writing, ElevenLabs officially lists Claude and Claude Code as supported clients. The current hosted MCP focuses on managing ElevenLabs Voice and Chat Agents.
The next development is particularly interesting for creators: ElevenLabs is also announcing Creative MCP, which is intended to extend the MCP approach to additional creative capabilities.*1
What Is ElevenLabs MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is a standard for connecting AI assistants with external tools and services.
In practical terms, ElevenLabs MCP lets a supported AI assistant interact with ElevenLabs through a connection provided by ElevenLabs itself.
Instead of switching to another application for every task, the user can describe what they want in the AI assistant and let the connected ElevenLabs tools handle supported actions.
The current ElevenLabs Hosted MCP is focused on Voice and Chat Agents. According to ElevenLabs, available actions include creating and modifying agents, comparing configurations, and estimating expected LLM usage and costs.

- Hosted by ElevenLabs: You do not have to operate the MCP server yourself.

- Workspace-based access: Access is connected to the ElevenLabs workspace.
- Revocable connection: The connection can be removed again.

How ElevenLabs MCP Works With Claude
The currently documented workflow is straightforward:
- Open the Claude connector directory.
- Select the ElevenLabs connector.
- Connect your ElevenLabs account.
- Authenticate through OAuth.
- Grant the requested permissions.
- Use supported ElevenLabs capabilities directly from Claude.
The result is a more natural workflow: instead of manually moving information between an AI assistant and ElevenLabs, supported ElevenLabs actions can be requested directly within the AI conversation.
Claude can currently use the ElevenLabs connection for tasks involving Voice and Chat Agents, including creating agents and modifying their configuration.
Example: From an Idea to a Voice Agent
Imagine you want to create a customer-service voice agent.
The traditional workflow might look like this:
Idea → open ElevenLabs → create agent → configure agent → test → make changes
With the connected workflow, the interaction can instead begin in your AI assistant:

The more ambitious development is Creative MCP. If the announced direction becomes broadly available, ElevenLabs could become part of a much wider AI-native creative workflow involving voice, audio and other media generation.*1
